Driven by the requirements of one of the larger clients, an egg trading company, in the nineteeneighties Emons started developing 'double loading' solutions. This in order to optimise the utilization of the truck's loading capacity, and consequently reduce the customer's transport cost. By this time the niche-strategy for the whole of the Emons Group was devised: we shall no longer be active as a general contractor in transport and logistics, but focus entirely on a set of specifically defined niche markets. |
