Van Huët Glass Logistics has recently started a trial with a few glass inloaders to improve the aerodynamics. Van Huët is the first glass carrier that have installed a so called “boat tail” at the rear of the glass inloader. A significant improvement in aerodynamics can been achieved and it is envisioned that a further improvement of fuel consumption is realised for the transportation of float glass. Not only a saving in fuel consumption….but also as saving in CO2 emission!
