A new chapter for 2WIN: Langendorf delivers next generation trailers for Emons Cargo

Emons Cargo 2WIN is taking another step forward in expanding and modernising its fleet. The company has received a new series of trailers from Langendorf, one of Germany’s most reputable manufacturers of commercial vehicles.

Earlier this month, our colleague travelled to Langendorf’s production site in Waltrop to oversee the delivery and conduct a full technical inspection of the new 2WIN trailers together with Markus Ebben from the Emons technical team.

This visit reflects Emons Cargo’s dedication to quality, safety and operational excellence. These values define the 2WIN concept and are shared across the entire Emons Group.

Langendorf: engineering tradition and innovation since 1889

Langendorf GmbH was founded in 1889 in Waltrop, Germany. What began as a small blacksmith workshop has developed into one of Europe’s leading specialists in trailers, tippers and inloaders.

Over more than a century of innovation, Langendorf has earned a strong reputation for technical precision, product reliability and long-term durability. Today, the company produces a wide range of vehicles that include:

• Tipper trailers made of aluminium and steel
• Inloaders for glass and concrete elements
• Lowbed trailers for heavy and special transport
• Custom built vehicles for individual customer needs

The company’s headquarters and main factory are located in Waltrop in North Rhine-Westphalia. All design, assembly and quality checks take place there. Langendorf also operates several sales and service branches across Germany and Europe to provide local support for its customers.

Since 2017, Langendorf has been part of the Wielton Group, one of the largest trailer manufacturing groups in Europe. This partnership combines German engineering expertise with a global production and service network, strengthening Langendorf’s position both in Europe and beyond.

Technical inspection in Waltrop

At the Waltrop facility, Abdel Jalil Hajou and Markus Ebben carried out a detailed technical inspection before the new trailers were approved for delivery.

The inspection covered a wide range of technical elements:

  1. Build quality – welding seams, structural components and finishes were checked in detail.
  2. Hydraulic systems – cylinders, hoses and seals were tested for precision and reliability.
  3. Braking and safety systems – ABS performance, brake balance and suspension response were verified.
  4. Axle alignment and chassis – mechanical parts were measured against Emons Cargo’s specifications.
  5. Electrical systems – all wiring, sensors and lights were inspected.
  6. Custom configurations – reinforcement, flooring and other special features were validated.
  7. Solar panel system – Setting up and testing the functions of the solar panel system

By performing this joint validation directly at the production site, Emons Cargo ensures that each trailer meets its own quality standards before it enters service. The collaboration between Langendorf’s engineers and Emons Cargo’s specialists guarantees transparency, technical precision and reliability.

Teamwork and expertise

During the inspection, Markus Ebben provided on-site technical expertise and acted as a key link between Emons Cargo’s engineering team and Langendorf’s production staff. His experience and feedback were essential in fine tuning the final adjustments.

Their close cooperation shows how direct communication between manufacturer and operator leads to improved performance, safer equipment and faster implementation.

A milestone for Emons Cargo 2WIN

The visit to Langendorf represents more than the delivery of new trailers. It is a confirmation of Emons Cargo 2WIN’s ongoing pursuit of operational excellence.

Each trailer is engineered to the highest technical standards and designed to match the unique logistics concept of the 2WIN system. With its two-floor configuration, 2WIN enables customers to transport more goods per trip, lower fuel consumption and reduce carbon emissions.

Through this collaboration, Emons Cargo 2WIN reinforces its role as an innovative logistics company that delivers both efficiency and sustainability. Langendorf’s craftsmanship perfectly complements the mission of Emons Cargo to deliver more with every journey.
